Maxio July 2026 Product Updates

The way software gets priced has changed faster than the systems that run it. With usage, tiers, credits, hybrid models, and custom deals, pricing has become far more dynamic, but the infrastructure connecting what a customer buys to what your product delivers has lagged behind.

This month, we launched Maxio Entitlements to close that gap from inside your billing system, making the link between a subscription and what a customer can access something you configure in Maxio, without rewriting access logic every time pricing changes.

It’s the newest piece of the monetization infrastructure we’re building at Maxio for how modern software gets sold.

Beyond Entitlements, we shipped improvements to revenue automation, integrations, and payments, each one built to take manual steps out of the process and keep your financial data consistent from first invoice to closed books.

Here’s what we shipped in July.

In this month’s update

  • Enforce feature access and usage limits natively, without new engineering work for every pricing change
  • Automate revenue recognition and reallocation across your GL, entities, and currencies
  • Manage deals, renewals, and billing data directly from Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Get more accurate, controllable payment processing across currencies and surcharging

Tokenization and Monetization

Connect what customers buy to what they can access.

Introducing Maxio Entitlements

When pricing runs on usage, tiers, and custom deals, the hard part is keeping each customer’s access aligned with exactly what they bought. Most teams handle it with spreadsheets or custom logic bolted onto billing, which turns every pricing change into an engineering ticket and opens the door to revenue leakage when features get switched on without payment.

Maxio Entitlements makes that connection native. Access rights, usage limits, and service rights resolve directly from the subscription record and stay in sync as subscriptions change, so what a customer is entitled to always reflects what they purchased. When they upgrade, downgrade, or renew, their entitlements move with them, with no separate system to reconcile. Maxio records and exposes that entitlement state through a single source of truth; your product reads from it to govern access.

Maxio Metering Enhancements

Model even your most complex usage-based pricing with less custom logic. Formula-based pricing lets you combine multiple usage signals into a single pricing model, making tiered, hybrid, and consumption-based billing easier to manage in Maxio.

Advanced Revenue

Close the books with less hand-work.

Automate journal entry sync for revenue recognition

Run your Advanced Revenue Recognition Report on a schedule and push the resulting journal entries directly to QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero. You can configure multiple reports syncing to different general ledgers, so multi-entity and multi-product setups are covered without a manual export step.

Apply conditional logic for revenue reallocation

Advanced Revenue now supports if-then rules for revenue reallocation. Exclude renewals from reallocation or apply different formulas to new transactions, without creating separate contracts or adding manual line items.

Report under IFRS with period-average FX rates

The Advanced Revenue Summary now supports CTA-based retranslation, restating revenue using period-average FX rates for IFRS compliance. The retranslation is reporting-level only and does not alter your underlying accounting records.

Third-Party Integrations

Do more without leaving your CRM.

Create CPQ deals directly from Salesforce subscription previews

When a sales rep runs a subscription preview in Salesforce, they can now push that data straight into a Maxio CPQ deal or contract. No re-entering subscription details across systems, and no risk of the two drifting out of sync.

See invoice and payment data in Salesforce

Invoice status, payment status, and subscription details now appear directly on Salesforce account and contact records, so sales reps can check a customer’s billing situation without leaving Salesforce.

Manage auto-renewal settings from Salesforce

Renewal length, auto-renewal timing, and uplift percentage are now visible and editable directly from Salesforce. Changes sync back to Maxio, so reps can apply a price increase or extend a term without switching systems.

Collect VAT IDs in the Salesforce COSP

Sales reps can now enter a customer’s VAT number in the Salesforce subscription preview flow, or expose the VAT field on the COSP UI for customer self-entry. The value syncs automatically to the customer’s account in Advanced Billing.

Customize financial data mappings in HubSpot

The Send Financials step now supports custom field mappings, bringing it to parity with the Salesforce integration. Map Maxio financial data to the specific HubSpot fields your team uses.

Keep Xero syncs moving when one record fails

Turn on continue-on-error and a single bad record no longer halts the whole batch. The sync finishes, logs the failures, and surfaces them for follow-up.

Payments

More control over how money moves.

Route payments to currency-matched bank accounts

USD payments go to your USD account, EUR to EUR, GBP to GBP. Currency-matched routing means no forced conversions and no manual reconciliation across accounts.

Control surcharging per customer, with accurate refunds

You can now enable or disable surcharging per customer from the customer detail page, or bulk-toggle it across multiple customers from the customer list, with API support for programmatic control. And when a surcharged invoice is refunded, the GL sync passes only the base amount, so the surcharge fee doesn’t inflate your refund accounting.

Summary

Pricing has raced ahead of the systems built to support it, and closing that distance is the work we care about most right now, making sure billing, revenue, and payments keep pace with how modern software actually gets sold. Entitlements is our biggest move in that direction this month. There’s more to come.
